HCR Automatic power factor

HCR is an automatic power factor regulator with microcontroller, developed for the measurement of signals that are also highly distorted; it allows an accurate control of the electrical quality of the system such as: voltage, current, cos φ, total harmonic distortion in current, total harmonic distortion in voltage and internal temperature.

In addition to the normal power factor management functions, HCR protects the capacitor banks in the event of voltages, currents, harmonic distortions, temperature out of range of the setup.

HCR also disconnects the capacitor banks in case of micro-interruptions of the electric power.

The microcontroller management allows to distribute the operations, extending the life of the capacitors and relays.

Thanks to the innovative “active timing” mode, HCR guarantees the achievement of the setpoint in a constant time, speeding up or slowing down the operations according to the distance from the setpoint.

The internal software allows to set each battery with the nominal value of the capacitors or to set particular functions such as the fixed battery as well as to set the temperature threshold for turning on the ventilation, to manage the intervention of the alarm relay, the ratio of the CT and all the parameters necessary for adaptation to the for adaptation to the power factor correction system in which it is installed.

HCR displays the following measurements: Power factor, RMS voltage, RMS current, THDI and THDV, Active, Reactive, Apparent power, Delta power to reach setpoint and Temperature.

The latest generation LCD display shows the status, measurements, alarms and device setup in a simple and user friendly way.

Through the front optical port, with the dedicated software for a download / upload of data and configurations, it is possible to read and set the instrument setup even without opening the power factor correction system.

HCR have embedded RS232TTL interface that can be integrated with optional RS485 / RS232 interface with standard modbus RTU protocol.

Are available option module for remote management of the system that can be connected to the optional interface such as 3G modem, Ethernet, Wifi
